This Bang & Olufsen Beocord 9000 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B/C and HX-Pro noise reduction, it was first sold by Bang & Olufsen in 1982 with a list price of USD $1,800 and discontinued 4 years later in 1986.

The main features of the Bang & Olufsen Beocord 9000 cassette deck are: 3 heads and no off-tape monitoring to save production cost, digital tape counter with 4 digits, tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome, ferro-chrome and metal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.

Typical of this deck is the 70's top loading layout with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.
