Eumig Metropolitan CCD High Concert Fidelity Cassette Deck

The Eumig Metropolitan CCD is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was introduced by Eumig in 1978 with a manufacturer suggested retail price of USD $1,300 and discontinued 4 years later in 1982.

The main features of the Eumig Metropolitan CCD cassette deck are: 3 heads and no off-tape monitoring to save production cost, analog 3 digit tape counter, tape type selection with support for normal, chrome and ferro-chrome tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.

Typical of this deck is the 70's top loading layout with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.

Level meters used on the Eumig Metropolitan CCD cassette deck are analog needle VU reading meters. Full-logic transport controls used on the Eumig Metropolitan CCD let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection.

The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the Eumig Metropolitan CCD by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.

All main transport commands can be issued remotely with a wired remote control.
