This Onkyo TA-680D is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was first sold by Onkyo in 1978 with a manufacturer suggested retail price of USD $700.

The main features of the Onkyo TA-680D cassette deck are: 3 heads and no off-tape monitoring to save production cost, tape type selection and capable of handling normal and chrome tapes, single capstan transport.

The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the Onkyo TA-680D by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.
