The Sanyo RD 5372 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was introduced by Sanyo in 1981 with a list price of USD $300 and discontinued 3 years later in 1984.
The main features of the Sanyo RD 5372 cassette deck are: 3 heads and no off-tape monitoring to save production cost, tape type selection with support for normal and chrome tapes.
Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.
Level meters used on the Sanyo RD 5372 cassette deck are analog needle VU reading meters with peak indicator for easy adjustment of optimum recording level. Soft-touch controls for fast and easy transport function selection of the Sanyo RD 5372 cassette deck.
The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the Sanyo RD 5372 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.
