Dolby B NR Metal Tape

This Sharp RT-31 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was first sold by Sharp in 1981 with a list price of USD $150 and discontinued 4 years later in 1985.

The main features of the Sharp RT-31 cassette deck are: 2 heads, tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome, ferro-chrome and metal tapes.

The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the Sharp RT-31 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.
