Dolby B NR Metal Tape

This Technics RS-D225W is a stereo double cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was first sold by Technics in 1986 and discontinued 2 years later in 1988.

The features of the RS-D225W include, tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes.

Typical front loading double cassette deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.

The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the Technics RS-D225W by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.
